Alastair has 15 years of public sector experience in the UK and New Zealand with a specific focus on innovation. His work experience has spanned education and schools, child poverty, early years, place-based working, governance and the development of innovation labs and teams.

He moved to Auckland from Liverpool, UK in 2011. Passionate about public service, he is excited about exploring new ways of working in response to a rapidly changing world. He believes that where public services aim to ensure that people can influence, shape and design decisions and actions that impact on their lives; positive and transformational change is possible.
