LOUISE
WERE
RONGOWHAKAATA,
NGĀTI TŪWHARETOA
Louise weaves together Te Ao Māori, evaluation, systems thinking and design, and is inspired by their collective transformative potential. In her practice, she is often in spaces where these ways of knowing and being converge and diverge. Ensuring policy, procurement and delivery mechanisms give voice to whānau at every level within systems is a significant driver behind Louise’s practice. She has balanced her experiential learning with the Post Graduate Diploma in Social Sector Evaluation Research, BA Māori and an introduction to Human Centred Design.
Louise is mother to three amazing young people, a founding member of Tuakana Teina Evaluation Collective and member of the Executive of Mā te Rae – Māori Evaluation Association.
