DR. JOHN FENAUGHTY
INSIDE OUT - WE ALL BELONG
For the past 25 years John Fenaughty has worked in community activism, the NGO and education sectors, and lately, academia, where he leads the Masters of Social and Community Leadership at the University of Auckland. The constant thread across his work is equity and social justice, with a focus on schooling and/or heteronormativity. John’s PhD in Community Psychology, conducted at NetSafe, investigated cyberbullying. My work lead to a collaboration with Curative and Rainbow Youth, that utilised [co-]design principles to develop an award winning cis-heteronormative bullying prevention (Inside Out – We All Belong) that informs my approaches to understanding and teaching social innovation.
